Materials list for the Mini Class only.

FOR THE HEAD…

1. A press mold for a 10"-11" doll, preferably with ear fronts included in the mold. Sherry Goshen sculpted one for this class, and it can be obtained from http://www.dollmakersjourney.com/ . It is adorable, with the pouty, Sherry "look" and makes a darling Bleuette with a bit of a French Pouty look seen in some Bru and/or Jumeau dolls from the 1800s and early 1900s. The direct address is http://dollmakersjourney.com/goshon.html Sherry designed a doll for the face too. Gillie is the name, and she is soooo cute too.

2. A 5" X 5" square of the VELOUR you used for your "Cloth Bleuette" for the face and a 5"X 6" piece folded in half for the head back. Follow the "stretch" directions for both face and head back pieces.

3. A package of Creative Paper Clay. Available from craft stores (4 Oz package will be enough for one doll face.)

4. A stick of Acid Free Glue Stick Glue. Mine is made by Ross, but there are many suitable ones.

5. Acrylic paints in red, black, white, brown, yellow and whatever eye color you desire.

6. A very small, pointed paintbrush. (A size ten 0 spotter is good.) …and…a stiff, old paintbrush to help with spreading the glue.

7. Powdered Blush.

8. Thread to match your dolls skin and a good hand sewing needle.

9. Some talcum powder.

10. A finished "Bleuette in Cloth" body, ready to attach the head.

11. A 7" doll wig of your choice. For Alice , a long, blond wig looks the most like Alice …But this whole doll can be anyone you want. Make the dress in Red for Christmas, a floral print for a Spring Bleuette, and on and on….

12. A small amount of stuffing.

13. A yard of jointing cord for attaching the head.

FOR THE CLOTHES…

The clothes take small pieces of fabric, but if you need to buy fabrics, 1/4 yard is plenty for each color. I pretty much used small scraps I had, and that is what the layout directions show.

1. Lightweight, light blue, woven cotton for the dress.

2. Lightweight, white woven cotton for the petticoat, pantaloons and pinafore.

3. 2 yards of pre-gathered lace that has a net binding on the gathered edge. I have used 1" wide, ¾" wide and ½" wide for different sets of clothes. You choose the width you desire.

4. 1 yard of flexible hem lace if you want it at the hem of the dress skirt. The very curved edge is easier to hand hem if you use it. You could also make a hand or machine sewn rolled hem.

5. 1 yard of 1/4 " wide ribbon for the pinafore ties.

6. A small piece of red and white striped, stretchy knit for the stockings. You could of course also use purchased doll socks, but I have never seen any in red and white stripes.

7. 4 small doll snaps.

8. A 9" piece of 1/8" or ¼" wide elastic.

9. 1 yard of 1/8" wide black ribbon for the hair tie for Alice .

10. Hand and machine sewing supplies and threads to match your fabrics.

FOR THE WHITE RABBIT…

1. A small scrap of white velour or felt. He is too small for fur fabric.

2. A small scrap of felt for the vest, and a bit of tacky glue or fabric glue to glue the shoulder seams.

3. A clock button. (I found several at Jo Anne's, Wal-Mart etc.) and a bit of gold cord to simulate the clock chain.

4. A pair of very small animal eyes or you can simply embroider the eyes as a Dot, with black embroidery floss.

6. Pink embroidery floss for the nose and mouth.

7. 4 or 6 tiny gold pearls for the vest buttons.

8. A small amount of stuffing, hand and machine sewing supplies, and white thread to sew the Rabbit.

9. A yard of jointing cord.
