Merna takes a test drive
Merna is a doll that came about when someone asked me to make her a mermaid using my La Bouche doll techniques. Of course being the over achiever that I am, I had to do one better. I made her the mermaid but added the fish since I felt she needed something to sit on besides the usual conch shell. Merna and her fish sit about 24” high when complete. Yes, it's a big project. The fish alone would make a wonderful addition to a bathroom with a seaside theme. Or as a gift to that special angler in your life. The pattern pieces for this doll are mostly templates with some parts being patterns with 1/4” seam allowances included. Check notations on pattern pieces. All the dolls that have been made from this pattern have turned out fantastic. I'm sure yours will too!
