Merna takes a test drive
Online Cloth Doll and Fish Class

Merna is a doll that came about when someone asked me to make her a mermaid using my La Bouche doll techniques. Of course being the over achiever that I am, I had to do one better. I made her the mermaid but added the fish since I felt she needed something to sit on besides the usual conch shell. Merna and her fish sit about 24” high when complete. Yes, it's a big project. The fish alone would make a wonderful addition to a bathroom with a seaside theme. Or as a gift to that special angler in your life.

The pattern pieces for this doll are mostly templates with some parts being patterns with 1/4” seam allowances included. Check notations on pattern pieces. All the dolls that have been made from this pattern have turned out fantastic. I'm sure yours will too! I'm looking forward to swimming into your dollmaking days with this whimsical doll and her enchanting fish.
