Kate Erbach, a graphic designer by trade, entered into the doll world about 8 years ago. Living in a small town at the time, she was looking for an outlet to take her mind off her homesickness. After buying one of Susanna Oroyan's books she became fascinated by what you could do with cloth. And having a childlike love of dolls and the joy they bring, it was a natural fit.

She found FOCD (Friends of Cloth Dolls E-Mail Club) online and was introduced to others just like her. Obsessed with dolls. The obsession continues to this day as Kate continues to learn and try new things when it comes to dolls. It has been a passion of constant joy for her.

Kate lives in Appleton, Wisconsin. She continues her graphic work as a designer for a local business magazine and doing freelance work for local photographers. She has to pay for doll supplies some way!
