Maria!
by Diane Smith
Maria had to be a hispanic señorita. She is dressed in a copy of a Folkloric dance dress. I made her underwear  short bloomers. Her stockings are made of a knee-hi stocking, with the seams to the back. A petticoat with embroidered border. She is wearing a peasant blouse with  a lace ruffle. Skirt has a ruffle on the bottom. I hope you enjoy looking at my Maria, I sure enjoyed making her.

Even though she started from the Maria pattern she evolved and changed a little along the way, she has ears and breasts and stands alone (just about), her face is painted with acrylics and her hair is a fake "hair piece" on elastic, from the dollar store, glued on.

 Some Comments
From Class Evaluations:
Where is Your Doll's Picture?
What?? --  You have not taken the class yet!

"Excellent class, excellent teacher, excellent presentation. I wouldn't change anything about it."

"I am glad there were full size patterns for the class. There is nothing i hate more then enlargeing grid patterns. The file formats were fine."

"This was the best class I have ever taken online or in person. Judi's instructions are excellent and very easy to follow."

This class was the best I have ever taken online. Judi was very helpful, and nothing more could have been packed into this class."

"I enjoyed the class. I've been making cloth dolls for a long time so I was glad to get new ideas and tips in making them."

"This was my first on line class of any kind. I was thoroughly impressed at what I learned after having been sewing for over 50 years."

"I have bought a lot of books and patterns over the years, and spent a lot more than this class cost and didn't learn half what I have learned in this class."

"I cannot say enough good things about this class! I'm recommending it to everyone."

"I think this is a wonderful idea! I loved the class Judi taught and think I will take other classes in the future."

"I have been sewing/crafting for years and have purchased a lot of patterns and books. These instructions were by far better than any I have ever seen. I enjoyed this class very much and will take more of Judi's classes."

"I have to say that this is probably the best $35 I have ever spent. I never expected such a tremendous amount of information and to have a place to continue questions is just amazing!"
